I got them!
This is the picture my friend sent me from America when she got them, and I literally cried. At the weekend I had a sleepover with her (absolutely epic - we watched Ouran High School Host Club then read tons of weird FanFics xD) and she gave them to me. I've been wearing them all weekend!
Two small points - You can hear the motor on them, and the clip on the ear makes quite an indent (hurts a bit), but in all honesty for me it's totally worth it! I'm happy to withstand minor pain and motor noises in order to have moving ears!
My tail and fox ears for it should arrive soon I hope, and something I've realised about them is this: They take 4 AAA batteries at a time, and they do last for a long time, however I tend to have them on the entire day, which I don't think they're intended for. They would definitely last through a convention, but what I plan to do is get rechargeable AAA batteries. Although they're fairly expensive, in the long run it'll save me a lot of money in batteries, especially as I intend to use these basically every day as part of my usual clothing.
So far I've worn them to school, and everyone seems amazed by them. they're super soft too, and although it takes a while to drill it in that they do not read my mind or my mood they are not based on the actual thoughts, my friends think they're incredible, and have had much fun in asking me difficult math questions to watch them prick up as I focus on them haha.\
REMINDER: These ears DO NOT read your mind or mood! They move according to brain activity AKA how focused/relaxed you are! This is still incredible technology but THEY DO NOT MOVE ACCORDING TO MOOD x
I'll add more pictures soon!

Oh gosh I'm so excited!
I've also implemented my "Fox Diet/Lifestyle"
For your reference, these are the 'rules':
- Breakfast and Dinner only - Snacks through the day whenever hungry
- All snacks must be fruit/vegetables/leaves/plants/berries/grasses/nuts/seeds etc
- Meat must be predominantly birds, small mammals and fish
- Meals must be at least 50% meat
- No processed foods! - Yes this includes anything dairy!
- Other natural foods allowed: Milk, Eggs, Honey (as pure/natural as possible)
- Treats: Chocolate is permitted (3 small bars/bags max. a day), and if a human offers you a cookie or other small treat, you are allowed to accept it, as it is a treat. But you must only accept it once. If they offer another, refuse.
- Jam Sandwiches and Peanut Butter Sandwiches are permitted, as tame foxes are known to love these.
- This is a very customiseable lifestyle, if there is a meal you want/need to eat that does not follow these rules, you may permit yourself to eat it, as foxes are in essence omnivores and will eat anything.
- NO F&%$£ BINS!!!! I hear enough jokes about bin-raiding, that is NOT what I do okay? Enough is enough.

And so it begins....
I went shopping a few weeks ago to try and find my base layer.
Basically, my base layer is simply thin clothing in the colours of the skin underneath the fur. So in my case, I'm doing Nix's fursuit first.
Therefore, I needed:
I went into every single shop in town! I'm not even kidding! I went into every clothes shop I saw; TopShop, New Look, Next, BHS, H&M, H&M Kids, Gap, Gap Kids, French Connection, Select..... And more!
Then, I went into every charity store I could find (there were about 10) and still nothing.
So there I am, waiting at my bus stop, and I realise there's ONE CHARITY SHOP LEFT.
Sighing, I go in. My hopes aren't high but at least I can wait for my bus in a warmer place than outside.....
I walk in.... Glance to the right..... lo and behold - ORANGE TROUSERS!
Success!
So now I have my whole base layer, my tail is currently on the way, along with my ear sleeves for my Necomimi, and speaking of which, my very dear friend has arrived back from America.... WITH A PAIR OF NECOMIMI FOR ME?! I know! Bless her, I swear I'll have to snog her or something...
Anyway, just thought I'd update you with how things are progressing. I'll also try to add some pictures in my gallery of the whole process, so you can see what I do. I'll include the price of everything too, so you get a rough idea of how much it cost me.
Either way, doing it like this will not only make for an easier-to-use, more comfortable, less stuffy fursuit, but it will certainly come up a lot cheaper than a professionally made fursuit (which normally cost £2,000+)
Feelin' fluffy already!
